Campaign Story

Our names are Robert and Emily,
We’re reaching out to you today with a story close to our hearts and a dream that we dearly hope to realize. Our journey began unexpectedly and beautifully. We met on July 12 through Hinge, a dating app famously known for being deleted once you find your match. And true to its word, it brought us together.

Our first date at Taco Queen was nothing short of magical. We instantly connected, feeling as though we’d known each other for a lifetime. My quiet nature complemented his lively spirit perfectly. Just five months into our relationship, a spontaneous proposal during a nap blossomed into a drive to North Douglas, Alaska, where, amidst the serenity of sea lions, he proposed – without a ring but with all his heart. By December, we were blissfully married and eager to start a family.

However, our journey to parenthood has been challenging. After several months of trying naturally and subsequent fertility treatments like Clomid, Letrozole, and stim injections, our efforts have yet to bear fruit. Each failed attempt brings disappointment, but we haven’t lost hope.

For me, the dream of motherhood has been a lifelong aspiration. Coming from a family that cherishes its youngest members, I’ve always felt a deep desire to be a mom. I believe in my heart that I can excel in this role. Robert’s journey has been different. He grew up in a tumultuous environment, marked by Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy and a lack of stability. He never envisioned having children until we met. Together, we’ve discovered a sense of home and belonging in each other.

Living in Juneau, Alaska, we face additional challenges due to the absence of local fertility clinics, necessitating travel to Seattle for treatments. This led me to pursue travel nursing, which thankfully covers a significant portion of the IVF costs. However, some expenses, including certain medications and tests, are still beyond our reach.

This is where we need your support. Your contribution, no matter the size, brings us a step closer to realizing our dream of becoming parents. We deeply appreciate your generosity and the love that accompanies it.

Let’s turn our hope into reality. Together, with your help, we can embark on this beautiful journey to bring a new life into our world and our hearts.

With gratitude and love,
The Wilsons
